The website of IBO is among their main cast of communication tools, sharing information about the programmes, workshops and conferences to both schools and (potential) students. They were looking for a partner with the technical expertise to help them build a modern website, with a smooth user experience across different devices, language versions and with an AA-level Web Content Accessibility. This way, IBO hoped to reach more schools and students who’d join their programmes.
We have an open, transparent relationship with NoA Ignite team. That’s key to our success over time. During our project, which was very broad in terms of scope, they have structured workflow and implemented tools to streamline our cooperation. The consistency and quality of their support impressed us. The ambition of NoA Ignite was to hold a mirror up to the quality of the IBO programmes, and to reflect this onto the website by delivering the best possible user experience. Based on the briefing of IBO, we rebuilt the entire information architecture and user interface design.
We also did a deep dive in our expertise of Optimizely Content Management, to use its features in the most suitable way. To provide a search function sculpted to perfection, we seamlessly integrated Elasticsearch in Optimizely for looking up data in the vast data bank of curricula, workshops, documents and other content. This search engine features multi-language search, complex feature filtering, flexible sorting and a short indexing time to generate fast and accurate search results.
NoA Ignite and IBO have partnered since 2014. We’ve established a close and fruitful working relationship along the way, working closely together to reach IBO’s goals. Throughout the project, we made sure to combine all our competences: our know-how of business analysis, interaction design, UX and graphic design, front-end and back-end development, as well as solid project management. With this integrated package, we delivered a high quality end product, also further developing the site after launch. We adopted an advisory role in close relation to IBO, and still make sure to stay in touch and offer further advice and support when needed.
Thanks to this complete redesign, the operational cost of the website has decreased significantly, knocking the number of content editors right down from 160, to no more than 10. Fewer editors has also resulted in higher quality content, which enhances IBO’s brand and reputation. The end product is a modern, future-proof and agile website of the highest UX standards. It’s an advanced ecosystem of integrated systems with a vast amount of content, educational materials and curricula, all organised in a way that’s easily digested and easy to handle.
